The time has come

I've got 25 mins as my husband has taken the kids to the park quickly before we go out for dinner to a friends house. I am passionate about parenting, about raising my kids in the best way I can. I want to eventually help people parent better. To be able to make parents' (and kids) lives easier by sharing my experiences and insights. This is my burning passion. I think about it a LOT. I think every parent wants to raise their children in the best way possible, but as parents will know, we are not perfect. We stuff up, and parenting is often hard work! Here are some books that I will refer to: Loving our kids on purpose - Danny Silk Parenting your with Love and Logic - Jim Fay & Foster W. Cline I HIGHLY recommend you take a look at these resources, they'll change your world. In a nutshell this parenting model will stop you yelling/nagging at your kids, ease frustration, remove tension, enrich your relationship with your child, help your child to become a thinker and a problem solver! It's NEVER too late to start or too late change the way you respond to your child. LET'S GO!

Welcome! And a bit about me.

Welcome! I've never started a Blog. In fact, up until today, if anyone had of told me I'd start a blog I'd have told them, they were completely MAD! A lot can happen in a day I guess! So I'm a mother of four, I run a small home based buisness cake decorating. I am married, (10 years tomorrow! Where has the time gone?) and striving to do my very best at raising my kids to be responsible adults :D I have started my university degree in arts/education but am yet to complete it. The plan was to one become a school teacher. I think I'm slowly looking into other things now though. Not because I'm sick of kids but because after having my own kids I have discovered a huge need parents have and that is 'how do I bring up these little ones?' I think we can all agree that whatever our parenting style there have been times whilst raising kids that you think 'what the hell do I do in this situation?' I know I've thought that a number of times! So I'm just here really to share my parenting journey with you. To share what I've discovered and tested. After reading literally every piece of parenting advice I could get my hands on and trying everything under the sun I think I have finally discovered something that works for us. Something that I can feel happy knowing that what I am doing is the best for children. Something than will most importantly protect the relationship between me and my children.
